The Radio City Association was established in 1999 to renovate the historic Art Deco style building in Kilbirnie Town Centre. Having successfully achieved this we now aim to re-develop the Garnock Valley through our various economic development schemes including renewable energy projects alongside our charitable remit of tackling poverty, promoting heritage, healthy living and lifelong learning and skills promotion.
We work alongside other charities in the Radio City Building including Aspire Scotland, the Priory Group, Galaxy and ATTIX CIC. Radio City's main goals are economic redevelopment, promotion of healthy living through in house fitness facilities as well as projects around wellbeing, lifelong learning, heritage and promotion of community in addition to providing opportunities for individuals particularly through skills and training and our employability programmes.
Among our current projects is community ownership over renewable energy resources. In addition Radio City worked alongside Digital Scotland in the roll out of super fast broadband to the Garnock Valley and continue to work with our local community partners. The Radio City Association recently received funding from North Ayrshire Locality Planning Partnership and the Green Health Fund which will be used to promote heritage as well tackle health issues and provide skills and training opportunities alongside this is money from the Lottery fund to promote financial advice and a number of other projects.
